Last week, Mynx from Lizard Happy challenged her followers to submit a drawing to her that they've created (she's says stick figures are fine=D). In exchange, she is putting each submitter into a drawing to win one of her incredible works of art. The above is not part of the giveaway, but a beautiful representation of what she can do with some paints, a dab of heart & a WHOLE LOTTA LOVE!
Always up for a challenge, I decided to throw a piece of me into the ring. Knowing my penchant for pushing envelopes and...well...mischief, y'all gotta know I couldn't just present her with any ol' sump't sumpt'n; it needed some PIZZAZZ!
With fortune lovingly cupping at my balls (or was that my damn hand copping a feel?) I just happened to finish a .gif with what I think is an interesting subliminal message. I also offered her a less controversial option, in case my first submission broke too far past appropriate. Mynx's first reaction was to say, and I quote:
"I adore both of them and perhaps I am not seeing it, but the .gif is not coming across to me as anything offensive.
It is beautifully powerful and dramatic".
Silly me, then had to send her the "offending" part of the .gif in still format. Although, she herself was not offended, she decided to post my 2nd entry HERE and she created my own little "naughty" link HERE. (Am I the only one NOT surprised I have to have my own special link?)
I hope EVERYONE goes to check out her blog, as she really is a very talented lady and, if you like what you see, find your inner artist and THROW DOWN!!!
I'm sure Becca is already diligently drawing and, COREYJO, I fully expect to see something from you. Pull out your artist cap, and GIT BUSY! A nice piece of original artwork would look great in your newly remodeled home. =D
Lastly, I believe Grins has pushed out Haiku Monday through to next week, so I'll be back sometime before then with my poem and accompanying visuals.

ReplyDeleteLove the artwork that you do, Rafael. I clicked through and saw both pieces that you submitted. I like both of them a lot. One shows a healthy and nice looking young man. Of course, as an old mamma, I feel the need to cover the young lad in woolens and flannels. :-).The other is a mysterious figure engaged in a natural and healthy activity. And the shits and giggles photo? Very cool.
